今天要分享的是Noah Kahan首張EP《Hurt Sombody》中的Catastrophize，節奏相較其他歌曲更為緊湊，有別於他往常的柔和曲風，但讓我一聽就著迷。
Noah在Facebook分享，當初寫這首歌，是想給感到焦慮的自己作為「心靈說明指引」。網媒採訪問道：「EP裡哪一首歌是讓你最驕傲的?」Noah回答：「每一首歌都讓我驕傲，因為它們都很誠實坦率，並且對我來說極具個人意義。如果非要選一首不可，我想是Catastrophize。」就連粉絲在推特詢問他最愛EP哪一首歌，他也回覆一樣的曲名，可見連他本人也很著迷這首歌曲呀(笑)。
Catastrophize 意指將事情「災難化」，過度預設所有糟糕的可能性，而這是在長期憂慮的Noah身上時常能看見的狀況。他希望能寫一首歌來誠實描繪自己，盡可能忠實呈現他內心的脆弱與矛盾。這首歌正是在他躁狂時所寫下的，也如他所希望地呈現出心神躁動的感覺。
